Inlaid Work
These vessels were turned using various species of woods, their surfaces are then carved away leaving a recess for many smaller pieces of wood to be inlaid in their surfaces. The process is often very time consuming, but the end results can be quite beautiful.
Pierced Bowls
These bowl shapes have been pierced through their surfaces allowing light and shadows to become part of the artwork. The geometric piercings are meant to enhance the natural beauty of the wood.
Turned bowls with acrylic enhancements
Experiments with surface treatments - these wood bowls have been covered with acrylic paints and lacquers, then clear coated to create a rich colorful surface.
